Clips are solid and a much better buy than what I can find at my local stores. I broke a bunch of clips on first few uses that I had purchased from a local retailer. These clips definitely seem more durable and well made; and they hold my hair securely. (Medium length (past shoulders but above mid-back), straight hair)
