Pretty dramatic review ahead: It costs $30. I work in a non-AC metal shop. My ice water stays ice until I drink it. When working with various steel, titanium and aluminum alloys there is always plenty of sharp metal to scratch surfaces and break phone screens and water bottles. The white color has withstood over two weeks of daily use with no sign of failure. I personally like the textured finish, but note that it's neither smooth nor glossy. However, it appears to be very durable. I've washed it twice in a GE dishwasher that has special nozzles for washing water bottles and the weld hasn't shown up yet. This will happen eventually, but it's proof that quality stainless steel was used and that they did a good job of smoothing out the inside of the bottle. The bottle had a "chemical smell" that washing hands with hot water didn't seem to get rid of. A rinse with Cascade Platinum and neither the cap nor the bottle had a chemical smell. Leave it for a few hours and you will get the same result. Don't let the smell of a new bottle put you off stocking this really well made product. I don't care if it's made in the United States or China. , or Sweden. Quality is quality and the proverbial money stops with this bottle. You get what they are asking for in terms of retail price at the time of writing. They haven't cut corners and I'm really impressed. I'd be surprised if I don't get a solid 10 years of daily service and now this is my new daily driver.
