I bought this collar for my 11 month old GSD. I measured her neck at around 16 inches knowing she still had to grow and fill out. The collar size is correct. very flexible and appears to be of very good quality. It's soft, not the tough, unruly leather some collars are made of. The width is just under 1 1/4 inches which is the ideal collar size for her. I don't care about the wider collars offered by other sellers. I am changing her from a training collar to a regular collar. It appears to be a comfortable, durable collar that will stand up to her occasional puppy antics. I could probably go a size 15-19 and it would fit too, but unaware of the fit I went for a size 16-21. I highly recommend this collar. If it fails, breaks, etc. I will update this review.
