At night this is not a diffuser plate but a magnetic retaining ring to hold the gels. There are 4 hard plastic CC gels and then a series of traditional gels that you glue between hard clear gels to stay in place. To be honest I was very disappointed as I expected the diffuser to soften any harshness and add some extra diffusion. Also, traditional gels are flimsy, and I see them easily lost, damaged, and making a disorganized mess. It comes back, I just use a protractor to cut out what I need from my existing inventory.
