The length is perfect, the neck and hood are great, the waist belt is a bit long. 13lb chunky dog (part pug), medium size was too long so I took the small one. You can use the slit in the jacket to pull the leash through, but I don't. The hood doesn't fit my dogs very well, it either comes off or hangs too low for them to see, but I didn't expect it to work.
