Review on 🥤 Silver Omega Slow Masticating Juicer - Discontinued by Manufacturer - Optimize Your Search! by Stephen Cooper

My favorite juicer, worth every penny!

I love this juicer. I waited a few weeks before writing this because I wanted to forget my "first impressions" and see if I still enjoy using it and if I found any downsides when I did used more than the first time. I've watched a few videos of using this juicer and one guy I've seen more than others always preached adding soft fruits or leafy greens and then something hard like carrots. He even uses a carrot to dip leafy greens and berries down the slide, making him bite off the end of the carrot each time. I followed this procedure and it works great. I was very impressed when I saw this thing grab a whole stalk of celery and pull it down the chute and gobble it up! That means a lot less prep time and more time juicing. You still have to chop apples and oranges, pineapples and beets to fit in the tube, of course, but I really like being able to crumple up a cabbage leaf and stick it in the tube with the stem and all. watch him pull it in. I keep the exit lid in the middle position and the pulp comes out pretty dry and the juice is great. Even with a bunch of veggies (kale, spinach, celery, and more) the juice has almost no foam on top when I'm done. The juice is full and has some pulp in it, which I like. The yields from the amount of veg and fruit are amazing, maybe the best I've seen from all four juicers I've tried. We also have Champion but it's not made for juicing veggies and does a terrible job with it if you insist on trying it and I ended up with as much foam as juice and had to clog at least 6 times in one juicing session. . That meant taking it apart and cleaning all the pulp, cleaning the mesh and putting it back together only to spend a few minutes doing it again. The other two juicers I have used were vertical juicers and both broke fairly quickly, one of them on first use and both and champion had to chop foods with stems like cabbage and of course the celery had to be chopped into 1/4 inch pieces. So it can be said that the preparation time will be much shorter with Omega. The Omega cleans faster than any of the other three I've used. and I'm not making it up. Maybe the holes in the Omega's screen are a bit bigger, I don't know why, but it only takes a few strokes with the brush provided and it rinses off completely. I was able to get my money back from two other vertical juicers so really all that was wasted was my time. I was trying to save money buying a juicer and was hoping for luck. Bad luck. But with the Omega I'm very happy with how it compares to all the others I've used and I think it's totally worth the price I paid, especially knowing what I'm getting with vertical juicers that cost $100 less each. And the champion, which costs a little more. It's a keeper! (My wife hasn't used Champion since we got the Omega, and she seems to love it as much as I do.) Remember, it's not a quick process, so relax, slow down, and enjoy the process. ok it works, follow your soft bits with a carrot cob or whatever, soft, hard, repeat. and I think you will be very happy with it. I will try to update my review over time.
