These are great! I'll admit they took a little patience to put in, but I got the hang of it after the first one. I don't have long nails, but I could see how that could be a problem. I don't change my second and third earrings too often, so I was looking for something that wouldn't hurt when I slept. These little srew-on ball backings are great for that. I change my first pircing almost every morning, so I don't have any earrings in those holes in the picture. I would definitely recomend these as more long-wear earrings that you plan to leave for awhile and only change every so often.
