Review on La Sportiva Ultra Raptor Trail Running Shoe for Men by Adam Hutchinson

Bought for long-distance ultra-light hiking. They exceeded my expectations which were pretty high given the many rave reviews they receive. As others have said they average 1/2 smaller to full size. I have wide feet and usually wear a 10 1/2. I had to order size 11. I also needed waterproof shoes because my feet sweat a lot and Goretex doesn't fit me. I also tend to run creeks in my shoes and they dry out within 20 minutes of walking. Finding gaiters that work, fit and last is a big challenge. All low-top or trail running shoes will need them, so plan on overspending on gaiters that only last about 1 year.
