I've tried several of these portable hubs. They tend to eventually die due to excessive heat. They are convenient and compact for use with a laptop. Why would anyone carry around a docking station the same size or weight as a laptop? It defeats the point of a laptop. It's more expensive and seems to have the same heat issue. As you can see it is currently running above the upper operating temperature limit. I put it on a stone counter hoping it would take the heat away. I recommend buying the cheaper version and don't expect it to last more than 6 months. Only then can you maintain your sanity and your savings.
