I read a lot of negative reviews about this poached egg pan but found the comments unfounded and for $13 I hunted down a poacher early in the morning so I could make delicious egg dishes for lunch. However, the skillet was amazing and with a little oil spray my eggs are amazing. Remember I said it was a $13 poached egg pan and there are certainly stronger and better quality poached egg pans out there than this one. But using it for egg cooking variations a few times a week works great! My reliable method is to boil the water and send it to the counter. I have an egg cup with filled cups which I place in the pot, use the lid to cover the entire experience and after 5 minutes of high simmering, reduce the heat. to the minimum and set the timer for 6 minutes and you have perfect eggs and no melted cups. I highly recommend this item because you can't beat the price when other poached egg pans are $30-40 and $50.
