Pretty durable. Metal is not cheap plastic.
Installed on Jl 2-door, easy to install. You need to remove the rubber insert from the dashboard. He should be able to purchase a second mount for two phones. Installation took about 10 minutes. I had to bend the bracket to match the holes. I assume it got bent in transit. It's metal, so it's sturdy. Since it's not spring-loaded, you'll need to twist the grip to make sure it's tight on the phone. I see it's been like this for a while. But it's not that flexible when moving the phone. I would use it if you do a lot of off-road driving for a secure phone holder.
