Update: If you are using an Nvidia GPU, is there a way to force it to use the resolution and framerate you want in the custom resolution settings. I was able to get it to work at 4k60hz or 1440p 120hz and it ran fine and didn't melt, so I'd recommend it for high res/high framerate if you want to play around with the settings a bit. Be sure to check the chart provided before purchasing - this works great at tricking your computer into thinking a 1080p 60Hz display is connected, but any higher resolution will peak at 30Hz before falling at 4K resolution drops to 17 Hz. If you're using it for a headless PC remote desktop then that's probably fine, but I wanted to use it to stream 1440p games at 60fps and unfortunately it hit 30Hz at that resolution If I had checked before purchasing, I would have noticed this and probably would have bought a different device.
