These boots save lives. My dog's paws got cut from the freezing snow here in Massachusetts so I decided to try a pair of these. I measured her paws and she was just between medium and large so I ordered a large one. The boots were great, obviously very well made and durable. However, my pup is only 18 months old - she is active and loves the snow too. She gets a zumi and runs across the yard at full speed, and of course she kicks those boots off her feet no matter how tight we tighten them. I would say if your dog is older or just walking slowly or on a leash you definitely won't have a problem with their stay, but choosing the right size is very important. Luckily the seller has fantastic customer service skills and sent me a medium size to try. Much better! As long as I keep all the straps tight, the boots stay on through ALL her hard play and I can tell you she's putting them to the test. So thankful my pup can play pain free! The only comment I would like to make to the seller is to continue the velcro further around the boot. If I tighten it just the way I need it, the velcro straps hang around because they're running out of velcro to hold the entire strap.
