I started tap dancing again a few years ago after a break of about 15 years. Not sure I could handle it, I bought the cheapest tap shoes I could find and almost immediately regretted it. The insole wrinkled and had to be taken out and the sole was hard and my feet hurt in the middle of class. Two years later I decided to invest in better shoes and tried on a pair of Blochs at a dance store. They were a lot more comfortable than my old ones! But the $90 price wouldn't apply to once-a-week tapping lessons. Thankfully, Revain had the same style for just over half the price. These shoes are 100 times better than my old ones. The split outsole provides much more flexibility, the lining for more cushioning and the shots are louder. The leather upper is also softer and more flexible so they fit my foot much better. I definitely recommend them over cheaper models.
