The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is if you're like me skip all the fake 5 star paid reviews and check out the will watch real . I am actually very satisfied with these silicone plugs. You never know what you're going to get with something like this, but it works great with the 1/8" cable I use to make masks. I was worried they would either slip or be too trained to adjust easily but they are perfect. The silicone has a good grip that's easy to adjust but doesn't slip. I bought this type instead of the cylindrical one, thinking it would be more comfortable to have a flat closure behind the ears. I can't speak for another guy but I wore the mask with this plug all day and didn't experience any discomfort in my ears. My son has sensory issues so I plan to use them on his masks. I also like the little tools with hooks that come with it - they make it very easy to pull the line through. I couldn't move the locking part with tools but it's perfectly usable. In fact, I didn't even realize the tools had a latch and used it as a hook at first.
