Overall quality is great - the material is soft but seems quite durable. I went with this cheaper bag (I was also looking for a large bag) because I don't like having a dozen projects at a time and figured a slightly smaller bag would curb that trend. This one is perfect for that! The ONLY thing I'd like is pockets INSIDE to separate different skeins/skeins of yarn (there are holes for feeding yarn, but the skeins of yarn can still get a little tangled and tangled inside). But overall it's perfect for keeping my few ongoing projects off the coffee table and organized.
