These shirts are not soft at all. However, the worst thing about these shirts is that they have been sewn onto the shirt with TWO hard labels, one on the collar and one on the side. They will be uncomfortable for any baby. One of the reasons I bought these shirts in the first place was because the picture didn't show any sewn-in tags. Photos are misleading. I made the mistake of tearing off one of the tags and it blew a hole in my shirt. The rest had to be carefully removed with scissors. Too much effort for such a bad, uncomfortable shirt. I don't know how these things get such good reviews. If I knew what I'm doing now, I would never have bought them. This is probably the worst clothing purchase I have ever made for my young son.
