Review on πŸ” 2-Cup Glass Measuring Cup by Pyrex Prepware by Danielle Miles

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very "poor " filling

Okay, measuring cups aren't that complicated. You only have a few things to do. One is to allow you to measure liquids or solids. Pyrex is good at it. The lettering is clear and does not rub off. Also, since it's not plastic, it won't melt if you accidentally put it on a hot stove (usually a glass stovetop). Another task, and one of the most important, is to ensure clean filling of the content. This is where Pyres' two-cup measuring cup falls short. If you don't pour the liquid very slowly, the cup will spread all over the counter. I also have an Anchor Hocking 2-cup measuring cup that doesn't have this problem, so I looked at the differences in the spouts. The Pyrex nose is very small and narrow and appears to have been formed by simply pulling the edge. I'm not sure if they were made by heat and mold or some form, but they are very small so liquids only flow well down the spout at very low speeds. If you look at the Anchor Hocking brand mugs in my photos, you'll notice that the spouts are much wider and less angular in shape. The outside edges of the spout are also higher than the top edge of the cup. These cups pour much better than Pyrex. I just thought people might be interested in knowing that because it's hard to define without pointing it out.
