I bought these because we recently moved to a place with horrible sand spurs. (If you don't know what it is, it will make your life better.) My dog's paws were crumbling. He's a dirty dog, but no one can step on needles. I bought it so that he could enjoy running again. As long as I take the time to tighten them up enough, they hold up very well. And they perfectly protect his legs. The reason I'm leaving 3 stars is because they damaged his wrist pad as well. I measured and he was between a size 1 and 2. I gave him a 2 at first but it was really rubbing against his pad. So I bought him size 1. This size is better but will still chafe his pads when he runs hard. This is a small dog weighing 17 pounds. But by his standards, they should suit him. You'll need to work on the height of the boot to make sure they don't do any more damage.
