I don't know what it is for but I needed double sided tape to attach the plastic door panel to my fridge. It's the kind where you push in to erase and everything pops out. Except every time I opened the fridge it popped up on its own and spilled my food. I needed something double sided, strong and thick because there was a gap between the pin and the hole holding the rod. The thickness of this foam tape meets all requirements. Initially the tape itself behaved as if it wouldn't stick, I'm sure due to the nature of the plastic stick. To make sure it was tight I put some tape on and clamped the two pieces together for I don't know 15-20 minutes. I wanted to make sure it wouldn't come loose again without help. It's been a few months so far and my door bar has never fallen off. I can again safely place liquid containers on my door. Edit July 2021: Oddly enough, the notification that this is useful comes a day after my other fridge railing shows up. Guess what I'm going to use to fix this. The first lasts a good 6 months later.
