I thought all 4 pin trailer plugs were universal. I've towed about 20 different trailers with my connectors on my GMC Canyon. Everyone fits. I had to replace the plug on my boat trailer as the plug was damaged. They do not fit. It's not one size fits all, it's oversized. Standard plugs do not fit. If you put this on your boat and try to pull it out with someone else's car, I can guarantee it won't fit in their car's connector. The only one I can find is the one that comes with the kit. Wrong, wrong size.
