Review on NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plugs Set (4pcs) Stock 7751 - Nickel Core - Standard 0.044in Tip ILZKR7B11 by Mahmut Ojeda

Ignore 1-star reviews at your own peril. I installed them on my 2008 Honda Odyssey and the engine ran very hard so I removed them, cleaned the connections and reinstalled, double checked everything and no change. At first I thought it was my fault and wanted to take it to a mechanic but I went back and read the 1 star reviews and saw that others had the same issue. I went and bought the exact same O'Reilly spark plugs, installed them and the engine ran smooth as silk. The only logical conclusion is that these plugs that I received are either of poor quality or frankly defective. Also, there were no pre-cracks on these connectors; The gap was everywhere, some more than spec and some less than spec. I had to set the gap to 0.044" myself (make sure you use a wire splitting tool, the coin type can damage the center electrode if used incorrectly). The review says that while this is the correct model number, if you use the compare the same model you bought from your local parts store, they look different. In a visual comparison, the spark plugs I bought from O'Reilly had a side electrode with a clean, perfect span radius, while these Revain NGK spark plugs appeared slightly bent and the wrong radius, so much so that the ground electrode was not exactly perpendicular to the center electrode. All O'Reilly NGK connectors were also perfectly pre-set to .044". As with other reviewers, the packaging left a lot to be desired, as some of the forks were taken out of the boxes and wheeled around in a blister pack.
