The watch was perfect except for one thing. I needed a watch that met three criteria: 1) the strap must be stretchable, ie stretch without a clasp when I put a watch on; 2) it should be easy to read; and 3) It is absolutely essential to have the "day of the week" on the dial. The Citizen watch I bought ticked all three boxes. However, the strap was too big and the watch fell out of my hand! Every Citizen watch I've seen and tried on since has been oversized. Timex used to carry Citizen-like watches, but Timex no longer displays the day of the week on the dial. However, all Timex stretch/elastic bands will fit! I am currently faced with a dilemma: send back a Citizen watch that is too large or pay the jeweler even more money to have the Citizen extension/stretch straps shortened. I paid more than I planned to find the perfect Citizen watch for me, but I did it because it met my 3 criteria - I never thought an elastic strap would be this great on my wrist. My wrist is 6-1/2 to 7 inches. There is no other watch like the one I bought that says "Day of the week" and fits! I'm frustrated because I've spent many hours on the internet looking for at least 6 department stores.
