This device might be best after the bread cutting for video types, but it's advertised as a still and video monitor. My main focus is photography - night photography. So after two nights connected to a Nikon Z 6 in a SmallRig L bracket with add-ons, I'm not a happy camper. First Pros: This is the only setting I can use to enlarge the Z6's camera. monitor and gives me enough magnification and monitor IQ high enough to be sure to focus on the star the first time. THAT'S A BIG PLUS! Now for the many cons: 1. Mounting it safely with my setup is difficult and I'm still struggling with that. GET THE RIGHT SHORT, FLEXIBLE, MAYBE SPIRAL HDMI CABLE 5. or you'll regret it.2. The menu system was designed by the devil and is **extremely complex and unintuitive** to use. If you're an experienced video guy, it might look ok. But I used to design UI modules and this one stinks. I still can't figure out how to get to x2 and x4 in the menu system even sitting there with the dock - I just trip over it. 2A Hey guys, how about a "My Menu" feature that remembers settings and can reapply them or something like that or ANYTHING.3. So as a result. I have a lot of problems with setting the picture brightness, menu brightness, data display etc etc. It should be bright during the day but it's too bright at night and I couldn't turn it down. Every time I switch the display mode on the camera, the monitor loses signal for a few seconds and then recovers. Since the display switches frequently, it's really annoying. This is probably not a problem for video.5. The document is pretty good at explaining features and functionality, but not so good at how to do things. Maybe it's a rite of passage. So I don't want to make a career out of figuring out how to use this device, but... I hope to update this review in a more positive way soon.
