This is my first time experimenting with the esp8266 module. I ordered various esp8266-12E modules from HiLetgo, it took a month and a half to get to my doorstep from China, but I live in Colombia, the parts have arrived. In perfect condition and hermetically sealed in an anti-static bag, all modules worked. The only thing I had to figure out was how to flash them. In fact, it's not that hard to figure out that Linux has built-in support for the UART (Ubuntu) USB serial bridge controller. Windows requires a driver to be installed -> download it here: https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx To make things simpler and not too complicated I flashed the binary from Nodemcu to Linuxplugin module and run the following commands as root or sudo# dmesg
