I received this lens for Christmas. I literally just mounted a lens on my Canon DSLR. I was worried it would be difficult, but it turned out to be VERY easy to add an adapter and attach a lens to my camera. Then I set the camera to manual, ISO 400, 1/1000. The third picture shown was taken with a cellphone and shows the actual distance of the house in the picture from my front yard (see where the arrow is pointing). On the first picture shown is the house with an 800mm lens, NO TRIPOD. The second shot I took was 800mm WITH TRIPOD. Please understand that I have just received this lens and it is new to me. These are the first photos I took with the lens and it was VERY EASY! Can't wait to tweak it for more distance photos. I'm a total hobbyist and didn't want to invest a lot of extra money into a hobby, so this lens is perfect for my needs.
