Review on MICHELIN Latitude Tour HP 255/55 R19 111W summer by Micha R-m ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

Made in France. Size 205/70 R15, it would seem that they are high and rolled due to the profile, but before the replacement, I drove for a week on the all-season Michelin 205/65, that is, with a similar profile, with a very similar tread pattern and hardness of the mixture. However, the difference is like heaven and earth, like an elephant and a zebra. That all-season is just sports tires next to Latitude. It became noticeably more difficult to move the steering wheel, there is no restoring force near zero, the car distanced itself from the road. At the same time, the more pleasant side of this separation was the improved passage of bumps. there was confidence in tires, indifference to various cracks and pits. The tire responds to sharp steering with dignity and quickly, this is due to the side sections connected into one array. On the straight it rides nice and smooth for such a soft rubber, also thanks to the longitudinal main blocks in the center, but not as easy as pure summer, smoother tires. Let's write light resonant, quickly damped vibrations in the suspension after one-time sharp seams as inconspicuous flaws. Also the noise level is a bit higher than expected. Acceleration on the tires seems heavy, slower, but surprisingly, the consumption on the accurate trip computer is small. The Hyundai Trajet is a heavy front wheel drive minivan. When reading reviews, keep in mind that low-profile and wide ones will show slightly different characteristics. But at the same time, probably other models will more clearly reveal the advantages of handling than Latitude. This tire is for a quiet ride, for heavy imposing cars.

Pros
  • Energy-intensive, low fuel consumption, comfort on a bad road, holds well, responds well to vigorous steering.
Cons
  • Exchange rate stability is not high, viscous steering. It does not roam in ruts, but it loads the steering wheel with a parasitic weight.
