Review on πŸ”Œ HDMI to YPbPr Component Converter with Scaler Function, Complete with HDMI and Component Cables by Michael Caste

Not compatible with Roku

This product does not suit me. I connected it to the YPbPr inputs on my Sony Trinitron Vega XBR CRT TV. I used a Roku Stick 4K and went through the descaling but it didn't work fully and the screen split. It was like the old descrambler hotboxes that used to try to steal cable TV. I read that this product does not work with HDCP signals above 1.4 and the 4K flash drive supports HDCP 2.2 or 2.3. So I bought a Roku Express that uses HDCP 1. 4 supported. The picture was almost clear but it was still a bit scrambled and the YPbPr screen was still split in two. I played around with the resolution settings to set it to 480p and it still didn't work. I was really hoping this product would work and I'm disappointed. I don't want to throw this TV away because it still works like new. They were built like tanks. But technology has surpassed it and made it almost useless today. If anyone has answers I would appreciate it. I don't want to throw this product away either.
