Ignore the size chart and order the size you normally wear. I ordered them for my husband. He has a 39 inch waist, a 30 inch inseam and weighs 190 pounds. He usually wears size XL and according to other reviews I ordered that. They fit great. Wide leg and relaxed fit. (((**This is NOT the slim fit most stores sell these days**))) They are made from a heavyweight, very soft cotton blend. 60% cotton, 40% polyester. Good quality. Here are the measurements for size XL. Waist (unstretched)-------31 inches Waist (stretched)----------45.5 inches Pants measurements in horizontal position. Inseam ----------------33" Thigh Width ----------------14.5" Leg Width Hem 10.5 in. My Husband loves these and they have become his favourites. They are warm, soft and comfortable. You also don't get all the static electricity like his fleece jogging pants do. They're a bit long, but the laces at the bottom keep them from dragging on the floor. Gray color does not collect villi and fluff. I wash them inside out in warm/cold water and tumble dry on low heat. They haven't shrunk. According to other reviews, if necessary, you can reduce them by drying at a higher temperature. Tip: remember that they are free. If your waist size is 31-35 inches, I would suggest ordering large instead of XL. Size XL fits around the waist but can be a bit too big otherwise. I gave them five stars because they are of very good quality. The only negative is no pants but a terrible dimensional grid. Thanks to other reviews I was able to order the right size.
