Review on Verizon MiFi USB620L U620L 4G LTE Global USB Modem Black: Fast and Reliable Internet Connectivity with Verizon by Gopal Baltimore

It's great, but there are a few things you need to know about it before you buy it.

Works as advertised after playing with it a bit. Some caveats. The device is either an ODM package for Novatel (i.e. a manufacturer in China or elsewhere directly to that seller) or it is a side sale of the same. It wasn't in the packaging I expected from Novatel or Verizon when it was refurbished or new, and it was missing a SIM card. The device does not have a normal SIM card. Most likely, an authorized reseller will not have it. For this you have to go to the Corp Store. By nature, it works like USB Ethernet. This means it doesn't work on older versions of Linux, older cradlepoints (ANY EOL device doesn't work.) want to use this and you have one of these conditions. Grab the GL-AR300M here for $30-$40 and make sure it has the latest firmware for a quick fix. Thing has its own computer and website open at 192.168.1.1 (with the URL printed on the back of the device) so you can do anything you can with MyVerizon on your phone. on the key. You can even display network usage measurements on a webpage. Carefully. After that, it performed better than **ANY** of the previous devices I've had with Verizon, and I can't wait to get into the xLTE space to take advantage of the vastly increased speeds.

Pros
  • Network: Verizon Wireless
Cons
  • Compatibility
