They are very interesting and I haven't decided what to think of them yet. want to be able to sleep. However, when I received them, they were too big to actually add to the back of the earrings with the original backing. But if I took off the original backing and used ONLY, I mean they are *nice and comfy, but I don't know if I'd want to trust them with a $500 pair of earrings. tip on the left. I placed this on the earring behind the original backing but still felt like it was sticking out too much and adding volume to the back of the earring which still causes discomfort behind my ear. They can be tight enough to actually replace your back, but I just don't know if I'd trust a pair of expensive earrings. I can try trimming a few of these pins some more to see if I can just lightly touch the back of the pins without puffing them up. By the way, it's pretty hard silicone. They're not super smooth or soft, more of a moderately stiff base with some suppleness. I like it because he has a pretty firm grip on the shank of the earring. But so far I haven't fallen in love with them at all, and I don't know if I can get them to work for the purpose I acquired them for - to sleep in earrings.
