Will NOT Seal A Water Line

These seem to be well made clamps and the hardware is substantial. However in my application they did not function as desired. I tried to seal a water line connector in place of traditional hardware store stainless steel adjustable clamps, the kind everyone has a few of. I thought these might be a better long term solution. They would NOT seal the pipe. Every position and level of tighting failed. I went back to the stainless steel adjustable clamp, and they sealed without issue.This might be a good clamp to use when you don't need air or water tight seals.
