This is a quality 12v outlet I've paid nine to fifteen dollars for it and several installed from it. The use of the front panel is optional. The rear tightening plastic swivel nut has 2 hooked lugs that can be ground down if additional lateral clearance is required for assembly. If you have a serious application they make a special twist lock connector to use with it, but it works fine with standard connectors on chargers, GPS etc. No flaws I've found.
