I was under my car doing something else and found grease and scuffs on the CV joint boot. I have a Subaru 4 wheel drive if I'm replacing a pivot I want to do all 4 it's just you don't have me either. As for the boot kit, it has everything you need, lube, clamps, circlips (maybe two different sizes front and rear?). I went to YouTube and found out that EricTheCarGuy (spelling?) It was very informative. I used this as a general guide. 2002 WRX - trunk location in front passenger hinge (think this fits rear interior too), pin pulled on CV joint and removed from transmission. There is a thin metal ring holding the main body (the inner part that holds the cups/bearings), pull out that metal ring anyway and the cups slide out with a little wobble. There's a lot of fat in there so you might have to dig it up, but the metal ring should be near the lip where the cups are. The kit fit well. It looks like the size is exactly the same as OEM. It looked like a quality piece, looks like it will last a while. The clips that came with my kit were the kind you need to have a special tool that you thread the extra clip through, tighten it a bit, fold in half and attach the small ear stuff.
