Measure the inside dimensions of the chair leg then read on:
These are for chair legs with an inside dimension of 7/16" x 1 7/16". Internal dimensions 1/2" x 1 1/2". I've searched the world for an end cap with the correct dimensions but they don't seem to exist. SOLUTION: I wrapped tape around the ribs that go into the legs and now they fit fine. (See fig. for comparison). They appear to be well made and should last a few years. 1 1/2"
