This one just has a small heating pad that is worn on the back of the neck. Surprisingly it worked great. I have a small 10000mah charger (Anker) that fits perfectly in a small corded bag. I plugged it in, turned it on and it stayed on. I wore it to my son's baseball game for about 2.5 hours in 50 degree weather with no wind. I also wore a heated vest and this scarf kept me warm the whole time while the heated vests were on and off.
