The item was delivered quickly. It's powerful but a little noisy. I like the white finish compared to the very similar orange one sold by other vendors. What I don't like is the disorganized way of unwinding the cable from the spool. The steel cable has a memory and wants to be straight. So if you don't keep pulling on it, it will wind away from the spool like a spring. This causes two problems. The first is irritation. The second is very dangerous. Annoyingly, the cable winds/unwinds haphazardly up/down during operation of the hoist, making the movement jerky as the cable slides from high points to adjacent low points. Danger arises when descending. with little or no weight. An unwinding cord creates a rat's nest that can jam, causing the cord to continue winding onto the spool instead of coming out. When this happens, the DOWN command on the panel actually lifts the rope! To prevent self-destruct, the black round stop next to the cable hook is designed to hit the metal gate and trigger the kill button. Unfortunately, this switch is designed to only stop clockwise (lift) movement. If you get a reverse wrap, the machine thinks it's going down even though the cable is going up. The emergency switch does not do its job. I narrowly escaped a serious accident and had to dismantle the mechanism to free the cable. If you need a winch and are very vigilant when using it, this will work. , it needs a more sophisticated buffering mechanism and a reliable kill switch to be safe.
