Review on Vooo4cc Leather Fanny Pack: Men's Genuine Leather Waist Bag for Sport, Travel, and Hiking by Robert Howell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large fanny pack - fairly well made

I'm the person who asked for the exact dimensions of the rear zip pocket - see the Questions Asked section. Everyone was friendly and polite and no one answered this simple question. But I needed to replace an aging Coronado Leather F-Pack so I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. FYI, the two zippered back compartments measure 4" for the rearmost back pocket and 5 1/4" for the main back compartment. I use my backpack for CCW so I asked for measurements. I read all the reviews and made some observations of my own. I believe it's leather (outside) and one of the pockets is half lined with leather and the other half (and all other pockets) is lined with fairly heavy nylon. I find the nylon webbing lined pockets make it easier to remove and replace items (like wallets). The skin on the skin is sometimes sticky. JMHO. The nylon feels durable and will likely withstand wear and tear. The front ring is useless to me. The small side pockets are bigger than my old backpack and I use them to excess. The backpack has seven (7) pockets, the large main compartment has a small zippered pocket inside. The zippers appear to be metal, not nylon. They're not steel (the magnet doesn't stick) but I'm guessing aluminum or possibly zinc alloy. In every case, nylon zippers fail, bind or diverge. The belt has a strong double click closure as I wear a 38 waist. I measured 6 inches of left side sag so should fit up to 44. I ordered a coffee and I like it, but it's darker than pictured. Delivery took a few weeks. Overall, I have no complaints, especially for under $50. Many premium packages cost over $100. One method I use is when I find something that suits me, I order two, even three, and keep them to myself. They don't degrade over time and often I find it difficult to find a particular item I like years later and then start searching the web again through trial and error. I will order another one, this time in brown. UPDATE: I'm glad I ordered two - the main compartment's zip broke when I was 18 months; I went to the backup I bought. As to why it came out I'm not sure as I said I loaded the pack to the max and that stress could cause some of the zipper prongs to pop out. Keep the zipper's teeth silicone and as long as you don't overload your backpack you probably won't have a problem. I deducted a star. I wanted at least 2-3 years before he stops.
