In the end I decided to try other brands of ink because we hardly ever print anymore and Canon inks are relatively expensive. I changed all the ink in our printer because we only live in Cape Cod four months of the year and the ink dries out. The price is about a quarter of the cost of genuine Canon cartridges. I love the fact that all of the printer cartridges are included in this kit. Very well packaged, ink stains are not visible. To my surprise, when I pressed the power button, the printer recognized the ink as "genuine" Canon ink and was ready to print in a matter of seconds. I printed several copies and was happy with the print quality. Can't recommend long term yet but would recommend this ink cartridge replacement.
