I bought these because I use a lot of citrus and had similar ones that worked great. Unfortunately they are not as strong as the ones I had before. They are made of hard plastic, but they really don't "give" anything. They are very fragile and break easily. This is a real minus. One edge is also quite sharp and easily cuts your fingers when peeling fairly stubborn oranges. I cannot recommend them due to their fragility.
