Elastic around the top of socks doesn’t hold the socks up.

The warmth and softness of the socks are acceptable. My problem with them is that the tops of the socks slide down to my ankles. I wear slip on boots, without laces. I’m assuming that if you wear lace up boots , the tightness of the laces would help to keep the tops of the socks from sliding down around your ankles.
