Review on ๐Ÿš 12V Motorhome Air Vent Ventilation, Maso RV Caravan Cooling Exhaust Fan by James Thakur

Beautiful design, poorly implemented in production.

[Updated August 20, 2020] Yes, so the fan stopped working after only 2 or 3 hours of use. It was hooked up to a DC inverter which is working fine. All connections checked -- EXCEPT the manufacturer's connection to the board itself, which I can't test without cutting/prying/melting the fan, as it came along with a strong hatred of self-service and planned obsolescence of pictorial screws is . It's a shame, I really liked the overall design. Since this was a custom installation, with holes of a specific size cut in both the outer aluminum and the inner wall paneling, I'm a little confused. Ordering another one is out of the question, but if I can find a replacement fan that matches the manufacturer's design, I'll have to find another product and drill new holes. 1 star for a good concept that went horribly wrong. [Original review] Overall the ventilation is of good quality. I give this manufacturer the benefit of the doubt because we were in the midst of the effects of COVID-19 when I ordered this and production has been hit hard from all sides so I'm not keeping it at its usual level. quality control standards. But as you can see from the photos, the chassis cutout has been slightly chopped. It's okay, I'll cut it, whatever. But here it is. You can see where they should have cut it. and you can see where they actually did it. And I don't know what they cut it with, but I bet it wasn't a laser. Maybe a can opener. Otherwise it's definitely a good product. Easy to install and pretty quiet. It's on the side of the ambulance I'm converting and it's pouring rain and wind, but nothing wet has held up yet. 5 Stars. But please sharpen your can opener.
