Out of ignorance I washed a heap of white laundry. A business card with a red insert was hidden in my trousers. Imagine my horror when I opened the washing machine and found that all the clothes were completely pink, including my favorite white jeans. I've tried everything from bleach to home remedies to get rid of pink and while it worked for some things, it didn't work for my favorite pair of pants. In a moment of desperation, I read about Rit and decided to buy it. Now it seems in the instructions that you need a protective suit to work with chemicals, I chose a face mask, gloves and a bath. I loaded the chemicals in and dropped my pants in the water, carefully following directions and occasionally stirring with some chopsticks every 5-7 minutes, feeling like Walter White working on his latest concoction. To my surprise, all the pink came off my pants! Not only has everything gone away, my pants are even whiter than before. I made sure to rinse and wash these pants a few times because who knows what crazy chemicals are in that pack, but whatever it was, it worked! I thought the harsh chemicals would damage the material of the pants as well, but apart from being a bit stiffer they weren't much different and I didn't get any negative skin reactions from wearing the pants, so you can say I'm very satisfied result!
