I'm not a reviewer but felt compelled to make this purchase. I was looking for a mat to put on the table when playing a solo board/card game that was being played on this table as well as our computer. This pad is ideal for heavy duty applications. It has a nice rubber backing to keep it from moving and feels firm. The edge is sewn, which adds to the great look. It also rolled right out of the box! The gorilla in the middle doesn't really stand out when you're sitting at the table, but it's obvious as you can see in the picture. That was a positive thing for me (I finished HS with a gorilla mascot), but if that's holding you back, I wouldn't let it. I'm not sure what you could do better than this rug for the price!
