Over the past few years, one of these has been installed on two different computers as additional systems on my home network, using a matching USR WiFi router became. I originally used a USR 5410 PC card in an old laptop as my main PC, but last spring I switched to a new laptop with built-in 802.11g with no noticeable performance degradation. Just recently I moved a backup PC to a location that needed WiFi (it was connected to a router with an ethernet cable at the previous location) and installed this card from a third PC which was on the third floor. In this new configuration, the router is only ten feet away, but one floor down; Now I'm getting 125Mbps fairly consistently, much better than when it was working between three floors. So no issues in multiple setups, but much better performance next to a router (no surprise). The USR website is good for finding drivers/support and I haven't had any service issues. If you have a suitable USR router this isn't a problem, but as others have suggested you won't get the same throughput with a different brand of modem. Note: WEP is available now and I've been using it on my system for a number of years, so ignore the complaint below.
