I have a lot of fine hair and wanted a clip that would hold it without breaking after a month of regular use. They are definitely durable and seem to last quite a while. Getting the 4 was nice as I often lose my clips and the size makes them easy to find when I inevitably have to search. The main problem I have is the clamp opening mechanism. The "wings" of the hinge are almost flat. This makes it exceptionally difficult to open, and for someone with chronic pain associated with using their hands, this was not a good surprise. However, my situation is not for everyone. If you don't mind the extra effort (which isn't really *a lot for capable people), you'll probably be very happy with it. They're strong, they do their job, and they're cute.
