I do not agree with the reviews that recommend buying shoes one size larger than your street shoes but of course it depends on personal preference. As a dancer, I like my dance shoes to be snug than my street shoes to avoid tripping and allow me to be more agile and move forward on the balls of my feet and be able to point my feet without tripping over them. I have size 7.5x8 street shoes and size 8 was too long for dancing - too much room behind the toe. 7.5 works for me and I've really thought about leaving 7. . . . These are great dance shoes for the price. Some reviewers said they felt the ground too much, but I don't think so. I personally wouldn't want a thicker sole.
