Review on SMAKN® CM6631 Coaxial Optical Convertor by Chris Riley

The product was delivered in a plastic bag. No documentation, no cable. Other reviewers say USB powered works, but you need this cable. It looks like a standard USB printer cable so I ordered it. Hope it works, hope the device works. Just take a look. The cable was delivered and I was able to try it out. As described, it converts the USB audio stream to an optical output. On a 2018 Mac mini, however, it only offers two channels — just like the headphone jack. I'm keeping the printer's USB cable in case I need it for something else, but I'm returning this box.
