Don't forget that the collar goes around/under the tree before decorating.

This is a one piece piece, so it needs to bypass the base and tree first! I had to cut it in between the cardboard pieces to use under my already decorated Christmas tree this year (it's standing well and will probably add a red ribbon or other tricky thing so I can use it again next year). A good alternative to skirt and at a good price.
