I have a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering. Although I had never made my own network cables before, I was ready to start new CAT-8 network cables from scratch. LinkUp has good instructions with a video available on Youtube and the terminal block inside the connector is color coded making it pretty easy. I carried out a total of 4 runs (8 RJ45 connections) with 100% success on the first attempt. These LinkUp RJ45 plugs are heavy duty and as you can see in the photo they require about 3 inches of space behind the ports to connect. CAT-8 cables are also thick and are difficult to pull through. If you make several passes, I recommend the Linkup Easy Press Jack Tool (unless you have an iron fist); This tool significantly simplifies the installation of cables.
